    Details

    Over the years, our Northamptonshire factory has utilised a rich archive of premium materials to bring our silhouettes to life. The 1461 Deadstock is made from various types of surplus leather: our classic, heritage-inspired Quilon leather, Split Suede, and Desert Oasis suede from Leeds tannery C. F. Stead. Mismatching materials give this shoe a DIY, cut-and-sew feel, enhanced with mismatched eyelets, pattern-break stitching and rough-finished edges. The 1461 3-eye shoe is marked with our signature touches: yellow welt stitching and a scripted AirWair heel loop.

    • Second off the DM’s production line, the 1461 is a 3-eye shoe championed for its versatility
    • Desert Oasis suede is made in England with a pronounced nap for a premium look and feel. Clean by carefully brushing with a Natural Bristle Brush
    • Quilon leather is crafted using a traditional method and features a contrast base colour for a two-tone finish. Clean with a damp cloth and care with Dr. Martens Shoe Polish
    • Split Suede is a classic short, soft suede. Care with Dr. Martens Suede Cleaner
    • A pillar of DM’s construction. Our Original and most recognisable sole. A height of 1.25" — marked by a traditional DMS tread pattern that's unique to Dr. Martens. One of our most flexible soles, well known for its comfort and stability

    Material

    Desert Oasis Suede- a suede leather made in England with a pronounced nap for a premium look and feel.

    Titan - a soft nubuck leather, slightly tumbled nubuck material that appears worn-in and distressed from day one.

    Care Instructions

    Wipe away dirt using a damp cloth. Once dry, brush with a soft suede or nubuck brush. We do not recommend the use of leather cleaners, as it could damage the finish.

    Construction

    This is a Goodyear-welted product. The upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions.
